This guide explains how to use TxDOT’s interactive statewide traffic count map to find the number of vehicles traveling along specific roads in Texas. By zooming in on your area of interest and selecting traffic count stations, you can view annual traffic volumes and compare 5-year trends for streets, highways, and corridors across the state.

Use your mouse scroll wheel or the map’s zoom controls to drill down to the specific city or street you’re interested in.
Red dots on the map represent traffic count stations. - Step 3. Click on a Red Dot to View Counts
Select a red dot (traffic count station) to open a pop-up data panel.
The panel shows station ID, county, district, and 5-year traffic counts (vehicle counts per year).
- Step 4. Compare Counts Over Time
Use the 5-year history to analyze traffic trends.
Example: Station ID 102U765 (Yale St & W 11th St) shows:
12,343 vehicles in 2021
11,263 vehicles in 2020
11,263 vehicles in 2019
