A Tale of Two Bridges is excited to share an opportunity for our community to support one of our key partners in Shade: A Tree Planting Project — the Rotary Club of Houston Skyline.
The Rotary Club of Houston Skyline is hosting its annual fundraiser, Spring Wagons of Cheer, benefiting community projects across Houston, including their partnership support of Shade along the Heights Hike and Bike Trail.
The Opportunity
Rotary’s fundraiser features three themed prize wagons valued at $2,500+ each, with a drawing scheduled for:
Tuesday, March 3, 2026 — 6:30 PM
$100 per ticket (includes 3 entries)
Prizes include:
- Wagon of Romance (Couples) — spa experiences, hotel stay, wine packages, photo session, gift cards, and more
- Wagon of Fun (Family) — hotel stay, dinner gift cards, beverages, snacks, charcuterie items, and a 50” Smart TV
- Wagon of Cheer (Booze) — curated collection of wines, spirits, beers, mixers, and entertaining essentials
The fundraiser directly benefits Rotary community initiatives and partnerships like Shade.
Why A Tale of Two Bridges Cares
Shade is more than a tree planting effort — it is a long-term investment in the comfort, safety, and vitality of Houston’s trail network.
Through coordination, stewardship planning, community engagement, and physical improvements supported by district funding, Shade is helping transform a previously exposed section of the Heights Hike and Bike Trail into a cooler, greener, and more welcoming public space.
The Rotary Club of Houston Skyline has stepped forward not just as a supporter, but as an active partner helping advance:
- Tree planting coordination
- Long-term stewardship
- Community engagement and volunteerism
- Design and installation improvements along the trail
Partnerships like this demonstrate how civic organizations and neighborhood initiatives can work together to deliver lasting public benefits.
How to Participate
