Project Features

More efficient throughput: By right-sizing the road, the corridor will allow drivers to make fewer maneuvers and in certain places, turn only lanes will be installed to make traffic flow more efficient.

Stormwater Drainage: The project includes adding underground stormwater utilities and allow trees can use stored water long after rain events to more efficiently withstand periods of droughts.

Street and Pedestrian Lights: This project has selected unique street lights that will light up the pedestrian environment using the same street lights.

Trees: The corridor will include thousands of new street trees. The project includes several native species and they will be maintained by Silvia Cells.

Human-Scale Features: The lightning, landscaping and street furniture will foster a sense of community and developments in the area are complementing by building with reduced building setbacks and filling in retail that promotes street activity.

Economic Vibrancy: The corridor has already started to see a significant development growth, with projects that focus on walkability and human-scale development. Shifting from a corridor of high-speed vehicles and land use mostly consisting of used car lots, to a corridor that fosters neighborhood-level activity and promotes mobility, recreation, and economic productivity.
