Use these instructions to visualize fatal crashes in Harris County from 2013-2023
Step 1: Query Builder
Go to the Crash Records Information System (CRIS) Query website: https://cris.dot.state.tx.us/public/Query/app/home
Select Create a new Query using the Query Builder
Step 2: Define Date and Time
Select Crashes from a range of years with the begin year being 2013 and end year 2023
Step 3: Define Crash Location
Select HARRIS for the County
Step 4: Search for Fatal Crashes by adding Additional Filters
- Field: Person Injury Severity
- Select Operator: Is In
- Select Value: K – FATAL INJURY
Step 5: Visualize Results on a Map
Select View Results and View Results on a Map
